CLEVELAND, OH--- The Boston Red Sox beat the Guardians for the second time in a row Saturday night 4-2. Shane Bieber had a solid outing for the Guardians going 7 innings, giving up 6 hits, 3 runs, and striking out 4. A couple more bright spots have been Steven Kwan and Amed Rosario who in June have both hit .364 (Kwan) and .356 (Rosario) respectively.
Speaking of Rosario, he started the scoring in the 3rd with his league-leading 5th triple that brought home Mr. Steven Kwan. Rosario was then brought home by AL MVP candidate Jose Ramirez with a SAC fly. The Guardians looked in control until the 6th inning when Alex Verdugo took the lead with a 3-run home run. Boston looked to extend that lead in the 8th with the bases loaded and no outs, but Trevor Stephan worked out of the inning not giving up a single run. The Red Sox did eventually secure the win in the 9th with a Jarren Duran RBI Single, Bobby Dalbec scored.
The Red Sox are still in town tomorrow for a 1:40 first pitch, Aaron Civale is on the mound.
