BOSTON, MA -- After 6 innings of scoreless baseball at Fenway, the Boston offense woke up. Rafael Devers stepped to the plate with two runners on when he launched a go-ahead 3-run slam over the green monster in left center field off of tribe reliever Blake Parker. Cleveland slugger Franmil Reyes was not ready for the agme to end in the 9th, when he sent out a game tying 2-run blast over the monster in left. Tribe manager Demarle Hale opted to walk JD Martinez to go at Alex Verdugo with the bases loaded, when Verdugo jumped on a hanging slider for a game winning RBI, defeating the Indians by the final score of 4-3.

Cleveland starter Eli Morgan was brilliant against the Bosox, tossing 6 innings of shutout baseball while giving up two total hits. Tribe reliever Bryan Shaw was hit with the loss moving to a record of 6-7 on the year.

The Indians will look to avoid the sweep against the surging Boston Red Sox on Sunday afternoon. First pitch on Sunday afternoon is set for 3:10 pm ET at Fenway Park in Boston, Massachusetts.
