ST. LOUIS, MO--After dropping two of three to the lowly Baltimore Orioles, the Cleveland Indians wasted no time getting back on track against a suddenly struggling St Louis Cardinals team as the Tribe win big 10-1 Tuesday night!
Indians ace Shane Bieber doesn't always get the run support necessary to win games despite strong outings. That was not the case early on as Amed Rosario and Jose Ramirez got on the board with RBIs as they put the Indians up 2-0.
Then in the third inning, Jose Ramirez delivered with a three run home run to put the Indians up 5-0.
Shane Bieber (7-3) took it the rest of the way, pitching six innings. Bieber gave up five hits and only one earned run.
Indians tacked on several runs in the ninth inning to blow this game wide open in game one of this two game series against the Cardinals.
Cardinals have now dropped six in a row.
Indians will start J.C. Mejia (RHP, 1-0, 0.00) for his second start of the season. Cardinals will start Adam Wainwright (RHP, 3-5, 4.19). Coverage begins at 7:05pm with an 8:15pm First Pitch on Newsradio WTAM 1100AM/106.9 FM and the free iHeartRadio App!
