CHICAGO, IL -- Cleveland perennial all-star Jose Ramirez was in the midst of a slump along with the rest of the Indians lineup, but broke out of it in a big way. The Indians were down by a run in the 6th inning with twqo men out, when Jose Ramirez took a high fastball from Lance Lynn to the right field stands to give the tribe a one run lead. The Indians would go on to score two more runs via errors and closed out the White Sox by the final score of 4-2.
Aaron Civale was spectacular in his third start of the season, tossing six full innings giving up one earned run on five hits, while striking out four batters and walking two. The tribe bullpen combined for 3 shutout innings, striking out four batters without issuing a walk.
The Indians split the four game series with the White Sox and are tied for first place in the Central Division with the Kansas City Royals. Cleveland will travel to Cincinnati to take on the Reds in an inter league match up. Friday's first pitch is set for 7:10 pm ET at Great American Ballpark in Cincinnati, Ohio.
