A Sterling Heights, Michigan, woman is lucky to have walked away from a crash that split her car in two and sent the back end flying feet away from the rest.
Demi Veasley was on her way home from her boyfriend’s house Monday night when a speeding driver T-boned her.
The impact split her Kia Optima in two, with the back ending up in a parking lot.
Surprisingly, the driver’s side was nearly undamaged. Veasley said, “My driver’s side was practically untouched. I just had a small crack in my driver’s window. That was it,” and added, "He [the driver] hit an SUV, too. Apparently, it was a drunk driver. He was going over 80mph in a 50."
Veasley, 19, walked away with only minor injuries and is grateful to be alive.
