How would you like to go through life known as the person who hung up on The Pope?

As the story goes, about two months after being named Pope, Robert Francis Prevost called his bank to change the address and phone number they had on file for his accounts.

After answering all of the necessary security questions, the rep on the phone told him that it wasn’t enough and that he’d have to come into the bank branch personally to get the issue taken care of.

Prevost said that wouldn’t be possible, and then decided to name-drop himself. After saying, “Would it matter to you if I told you I’m Pope Leo?” the bank rep hung up on him.

Fortunately, another priest was able to step in and help resolve the banking issue.
