A Detroit bakery stirred up laughs, and a little panic, after posting a hilariously horrifying AI-generated lamb-shaped Easter cake for April Fools’ Day, complete with bulging eyes and crooked teeth that had commenters comparing it to roadkill.
While most people got the joke, the shop later clarified things after receiving genuine messages of concern, assuring everyone they were “actually great” and sharing what their real (much cuter) lamb cakes look like.
The playful prank even inspired some customers to request creepy versions of the cake for real, proving the bizarre idea had unexpected appeal.
By the weekend, the bakery leaned into the viral moment and started selling a toned-down version, promising it would still leave guests speechless, but hopefully for better reasons.
