Late last week, a passenger riding in a Waymo autonomous taxi had to bail from the ride as it decided to stop on the tracks that carried the Phoenix light rail trains.
Video shows the car stopping for no apparent reason on the tracks as a train approached from behind.
Understandably, the passenger jumped out of the car, fearing he was otherwise powerless and at the mercy of the driverless vehicle.
The car did end up moving, fortunately, and no one was hurt.
