Twitter Admits Hiding Tweets About HBO’s QAnon Docu-Series

It’s now been confirmed that Twitter, over the past year, has been “censoring tweets” related to the six-part HBO Max docu-series “Q: Into the Storm.”

We now know that the powers that be at Twitter decided their best course of action was to “limit the visibility” of the series, which explores “the origins of the QAnon movement.”

It also doesn’t appear to be a coincidence that two of the six episodes look into social media’s role in helping to spread the “Q” phenomenon.

Twitter admits their decision was an “intentional one” that was “aligned with the actions (they) took to suspend accounts dedicated to QAnon and to limit the visibility of related content on the platform generally.”

Director Cullen Holback theorizes there may also be a lack of appreciation for the series “shining a light” on Twitter’s moderation efforts and practices.
