Two individuals were seen atop the Empire State Building in Manhattan, potentially getting engaged, and were later taken into custody by authorities.
The pair unfurled a banner with the message: “When the power of love beats the love of power the world knows peace.”
A video posted by Angela Nikolau on Instagram claimed she was one of the individuals on the building at the time.
Nikolau and fellow climber Vanya Beerkus have a history of climbing tall buildings and skyscrapers for stunts, with a film titled “Skywalkers: A Love Story” featuring them.
Charges are pending against the individuals, and authorities did not provide further details.
