Streaming - Gene Wilder's Voice Remade With AI For "Willy Wonka" Reality Series
A trailer is out for Netflix's new “Willy Wonka”-inspired reality competition series, “The Golden Ticket.” The series sees 12 contestant pairs taking on physical, mental, and moral challenges as the compete for a life-changing prize. The show will use AI to recreate the voice of Gene Wilder, who played Wonka in the beloved 1971 film, with permission from his estate. In a statement, Wilder's wife, Karen B. Wilder, said she is "delighted" the series will introduce his "magic to a new generation." The nine-episode competition premieres on Netflix on September 23rd, with a two-part finale set for September 30th. Check out the trailer on the right.
