Schwebel Baking Company announced Wednesday it will begin winding down operations and expects to liquidate the business.
The company says it plans to keep operating through the Fourth of July weekend.
The wind-down includes bakeries in Youngstown and Hebron, as well as retail stores and distribution centers across Ohio, Pennsylvania, and New York.
Company leaders say financial pressure, aging facilities, labor costs, and changing consumer demand led to the decision.
