Two Wayne County law enforcement officers are recovering after being stabbed in a Tuesday morning incident in Congress Township.
Sheriff Thomas Ballinger and Sgt. Dan Broome were responding to a report of a suspicious person when the suspect reportedly attacked them with a knife.
The suspect is in custody. Ballinger and Broome were treated at a local hospital and have been released.
