The Countdown Is On For The Artemis 2 Moon Mission: NASA is preparing for the first crewed mission around the moon in more than 50 years. The Artemis 2 test flight is scheduled to launch tomorrow night at 6:24 Eastern from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The mission will mark NASA's first crewed mission aboard the massive Space Launch System rocket and the Orion spacecraft. The four-person crew includes NASA Commander Reid Wiseman, pilot Victor Glover, and astronaut Christina Koch [[ cook ]] along with Canadian astronaut Jeremy Hansen. Wiseman says of expectations of the mission "When we get off the planet, we might come right back home. We might spend three or four days around Earth. We might go to the moon. That's where we want to go, but it is a test mission, and we are ready for every scenario as we ride this amazing Space Launch System in the Orion spacecraft, 250,000 miles away. It's going to be amazing!"
