Former Detroit Lions cornerback Terrion Arnold has been released from a Florida jail after posting a $1 million bond on Tuesday (June 30). Arnold, 23, was arrested last week on charges of armed robbery and kidnapping. He turned himself in to authorities to face these serious allegations. The charges stem from an incident in February, where Arnold is accused of being involved in an attack on two men he believed had stolen his property from an Airbnb.

On Monday (June 29), a judge in Hillsborough County, Florida, determined there was "probable cause" to move the case forward, but denied prosecutors' request to hold Arnold without bond. Instead, the judge set conditions for Arnold's release, including surrendering his passport and avoiding contact with co-defendants and witnesses. He must remain confined to his Tallahassee home, except for court or legal appointments. However, with the Lions releasing him, these conditions may change.

Arnold, a first-round draft pick by the Lions in 2024, played 24 games over two seasons with the team. His release leaves a gap in the Lions' defense as they prepare for the upcoming season. The charges against Arnold include three counts of armed robbery, three counts of kidnapping, and conspiracy charges. If convicted, he could face life in prison.

Prosecutors allege that Arnold orchestrated the abduction and beating of three men, including his personal driver, over the theft of luxury items and cash. Despite not being present during the alleged crimes, Arnold is accused of being the primary conspirator. Two co-defendants have pleaded guilty and are cooperating with authorities, which ties Arnold to the crimes.

Arnold's attorney and representatives strongly deny his involvement, asserting that there is no credible evidence linking him to the crimes. Arnold maintains his innocence and looks forward to clearing his name in court.
