A bill that would end Daylight Saving time in Georgia has cleared the Senate. The bill named the Georgia Sunshine Protection Act would essentially require the governor to ask for the state to be moved to the Atlantic Time Zone, which is an hour ahead of Eastern Time. The move would then make Georgia exempt from changing clocks by one hour during daylight saving time. The bill now is heading to the state House.
