Elyria Police are investigating after a woman was fatally struck by a vehicle Saturday night.
The woman found unresponsive in the snow along West River Road North died at the scene.
Police later tracked down the vehicle involved and its driver who says he thought he had hit a deer.
No charges have been filed.
