Report: Man Who Made Threats Taken Into Custody At Cleveland Hopkins

A spokesperson for Cleveland Hopkins International Airport reports a man experiencing a mental health crisis was taken into custody inside the terminal on Sunday.

The Summit County Sheriff's Office contacted the Cleveland Police after receiving reports of threats.

The man was found on an escalator near the ticketing level. Authorities initially found the man unarmed, but a loaded gun was later discovered in his vehicle on airport property.

The suspect was taken into custody.
