Parma Man Charged In Injury Hit-Skip Accepts Plea Deal

An 89-year-old defendant charged in an injury hit-and-run is taking a plea deal.

Investigators say George Balasko hit a two-year-old boy and his mother earlier this year in the parking lot of a Marc's store in Parma.

The child suffered critical injuries.

Balasko was charged with vehicular assault but pleaded guilty to two counts of failure to stop after an accident.

He was sentenced to 30 days of house arrest and one year of probation.
