The City of Cleveland is extending a moratorium on utility disconnections.
The moratorium was initially put in place last month during the government shutdown, when many were experiencing difficulties with SNAP benefits.
Mayor Justin Bibb announced a 30-day extension yesterday, stating that the financial impact of the shutdown continues to affect many families struggling with bills and holiday expenses.
The extension aims to ease some of that financial pressure.
