A suspect is in custody following a fatal shooting in North Olmsted.
Police responded to a residence on Lorain Road on Friday evening after receiving a call from a man who reported that he had cocked a gun, which accidentally discharged, injuring his wife.
When police arrived, they say the man attempted to take his own life, but the firearm malfunctioned, and he was subsequently taken into custody.
The woman later died at a local hospital.
