A North Royalton police officer alleges that his supervisors altered his report to remove a felony charge against Orange Village Deputy Chief Patrick O'Callahan, who was arrested earlier this month on suspicion of drunk driving.
Body camera footage shows O'Callahan identifying himself as a deputy chief and refusing field sobriety and breath tests before being taken into custody.
The arresting officer states that his original report included a felony gun charge that was later removed without his approval.
The city's mayor has hired outside counsel to investigate the alleged misconduct, while O'Callahan has been placed on administrative leave pending the investigation.
