A deputy U.S. Marshal shot while serving an arrest warrant on Wednesday in Glenville has been released from the hospital.

The incident happened at a location near East 91st Street and Stewart Avenue. Suspect Larry Wiley reportedly barricaded himself inside a home for hours after shooting the officer with the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force, but was eventually taken into custody.

Wiley -- who had been wanted in connection with shootings in East Cleveland -- now faces new charges of assault on a federal officer with a deadly weapon.
