Top US General Says He's Using ChatGPT To Help Make His Decisions

Major General William Taylor, the top U.S. Army commander in South Korea, told reporters this week that he's been using ChatGPT to help make military and personal decisions. Taylor, who leads the 8th Field Army and serves as chief of staff for the United Nations Command in South Korea, said he and ChatGPT have become "really close lately."

He's using the AI chatbot to build models and make better decisions for the soldiers under his command. As you might expect, this news has raised the alarm with some people, and possibly for good reason; ChatGPT is known for giving agreeable answers that focus on keeping users engaged rather than being accurate.
