Authorities say the man responsible for the ambush of three Lorain police officers was "prepared for a violent and prolonged encounter.'

Police held a news conference Thursday where they revealed the timeline of the July 23rd ambush by suspect Michael Parker, providing additional details about the events that led to the death of Officer Philip Wagner and injuries to two other officers.

Authorities say Parker was armed with 7,500 rounds of ammunition, 100 pounds of explosive material, and a total of ten firearms.

Parker was shot and killed during the ensuing shootout.
