'Sopranos' Star Jerry Adler Dies At 96

Jerry Adler, the actor best known for his role as Hesh on The Sopranos, has passed away at the age of 96.

A representative confirmed Adler died "peacefully in his sleep."

A native New Yorker, Adler began his career in the theater industry as a stage manager and later transitioned to directing.

He began acting in his sixties, accumulating over 60 TV and film credits across 28 years.

In addition to The Sopranos, Adler played Howard Lyman in The Good Wife and appeared in shows like Northern ExposureBrooklyn Bridge, and Hudson Street
