Jonathan Anthony Caravello, a math professor at California State University Channel Islands, was arrested for throwing a tear gas canister at ICE agents during a raid at Glass House Farms in Ventura County, California.

Caravello was charged with assaulting, resisting, or impeding a federal officer and appeared in court, where he was released on a $15,000 bond.

The California Faculty Association accused federal agents of "kidnapping" Caravello, but U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli clarified that Caravello was arrested for his actions.

Caravello was seen on bodycam footage resisting arrest, attempting to kick a canister, and using a megaphone with siren sounds to disrupt officers during the raid.

The raid at the cannabis farm led to the arrest of more than 350 illegal aliens, with one man having a history of violent crime, including attempted child exploitation.
