Former White House physician Dr. Kevin O'Connor's closed-door interview with the House Oversight Committee yielded no new insights as he pleaded the Fifth Amendment to questions about his time with former President Joe Biden.
House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer revealed that O'Connor refused to answer questions about whether he was told to lie about the president's health or if he believed Biden was unfit to execute his duty, invoking the Fifth Amendment.
Comer stated, "President Biden's White House physician pled the fifth. This is unprecedented, and I think that this adds more fuel to the fire that there was a cover-up."
O'Connor's lawyers clarified that his decision to plead the Fifth was not an admission of guilt but a response to what they perceived as an investigatory scope that could breach patient-physician privilege
