Brooklyn Heights Police Chief Charged With OVI, Placed On Leave

In Brooklyn Heights, Police Chief David Meade is being put on administrative leave.

Meade has been charged with OVI following a recent accident in Lakewood.

Reports say that Meade hit another vehicle on I-90.

Responding officers say they observed the smell of alcohol and asked the chief to do a field sobriety test.

Meade later refused a breathalyzer.
