Alex Ovechkin is now the all-time leading goal scorer in NHL history. The Washington Capitals star scored his 895th goal on Sunday against the Islanders in New York to surpass Wayne Gretzky. It came on a power play in the second period. After he scored what was his 42nd goal of the season, the game was stopped for an emotional ceremony on the ice.
