Tom Cruise honored his friend Val Kilmer during his appearance at “CinemaCon.” Kilmer passed away earlier this week at 65-years-old due to pneumonia. Kilmer was diagnosed with throat cancer in 2014, but later recovered, according to his daughter Mercedes Kilmer.
Cruise paused for a moment of silence at “CinemaCon,” honoring the actor. After the moment of silence, Cruise addressed the crowd, saying "Thank you Val, I wish you well on your next journey.” Cruise and Kilmer starred in 1986’s “Top Gun” together, as well as the sequel, 2022’s “Top Gun: Maverick,” which was Kilmer’s final role.
