The Cleveland City Council has passed a resolution asking state lawmakers to say no to a measure banning DEI efforts at public universities.
News 5 reports Council Member Richard Starr hopes their actions might prevent the bill from passing in the House of Representatives.
He says, quote, "there should not be any threats of funding or organizations and schools and attacking on schools just because they support DEI efforts."
