Gary Kaplan spoke to Bill about The Siegel and Shuster Society is in the middle of raising $2.5 million to build a nine-foot, stainless steel statue of Superman flying on a pedestal 18 feet in the air. The display will also feature statues of his creators, Jerry Siege;l and Joe Shuster, and a phone booth with a suspicious pile of clothing.
The work for the project has already begun at the Huntington convention center in Cleveland. We’re almost a third of the way to raising the funds, but the project needs help if we want to make it to the unveiling next Spring.
