49ers star Nick Bosa made a statement on Sunday night when he interrupted a postgame interview to show off his 'Make America Great Again' hat. But his stunt may have violated NFL rules.
The NFL Rulebook says players are "prohibited from wearing, displaying, or otherwise conveying personal messages" at any time they're visible to the stadium or TV audience - including pregame warmups and postgame interviews.
The rules also specifically prohibit messages that "relate to political activities or causes".
So what kind of punishment could Bosa face? Likely a fine - The Steelers' George Pickens was fined $10,000 earlier this season after including a personal message on his eye black.
