A rare U.S. dime just sold for more than half a million dollars at auction.
The 1975 dime was minted at the U.S. Mint in San Francisco. It's one of just two in existence without the mint's distinctive 'S' mark.
Its whereabouts had been unknown for decades, until three sisters from Ohio revealed that it had been kept in a bank vault for the last 40 years.
The sisters, who are remaining anonymous, say it was left to them by their late mother and brother, who bought it in 1978 for $18,200.
It was sold Sunday for a final bid of $506,250.
