(Cleveland) - Enbridge Gas Ohio, which was formerly Dominion East Ohio, is asking the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio for a 30% hike in what it charges customers for natural gas distribution service. The Office of the Ohio Consumers' Counsel says this would cost the average Enbridge customer more than $100 a year plus as much a another $29.69 per month by 2032.
The Consumers' Counsel is calling for a decrease of $294 million, which would be a 32% reduction in gas distribution bills.
The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio has the final say in the rate increase for Enbridge.
There will be three public hearings sponsored by the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio. One is Wednesday, September 18, at 6 p.m. in the Lausche State Office Building, 615 W.
