The FBI released new information on Wednesday (August 28) regarding its investigation into the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump.
The gunman, Thomas Matthew Crooks, was found to have a “mixture of ideologies.”
The FBI said that Crooks became “hyper-focused” after a Trump rally was announced near where he lived.
He began researching the rally venue shortly after it was announced.
Crooks’ search history showed he began looking for Trump campaign events in Pennsylvania beginning in September 2023.
