Vice President Hubert Humphrey accepted the presidential nomination at the 1968 Democratic National Convention after a week overshadowed by riots in Chicago. Here's a look at the convention held from August 26 to August 29, 1968, which includes footage of CBS News' Dan Rather being pushed and knocked down while trying to interview a Georgia delegate on the first night. Humphrey was declared the nominee after winning the first ballot over several candidates. He accepted the nomination on the final day of the convention
