Josh Naylor hit a go-ahead RBI single in the eighth inning as the Cleveland Guardians took down the Chicago Cubs 9-8 at Progressive Field. Jhonkensy Noel was 2-for-4 with two home runs and four RBI. Steven Kwan also homered. Nick Sandlin got the win in relief and Emmanuel Clase posted his 36th save. Cleveland has won three straight to remain first in the AL Central at 70-and-49. The three-game series continues tonight.
