At today's House Oversight Committee hearing, Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) questioned Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle about the assassination attempt on former President Trump.
Republican Congressman Mike Turner has slammed US Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle during a congressional hearing on Capitol Hill. Members of the House Oversight Committee convened for a hearing into the assassination attempt on Donald Trump, with Ms Cheatle testifying before US lawmakers. “You look incompetent,” Mr Turner said. “There is no aspect of this that indicates that there has been any protection to Donald Trump.” The Congressman called for Ms Cheatle to resign over the security failures at Mr Trump’s Pennsylvania rally, which led to him being shot by a would-be assassin.
