Governor Mike DeWine is helping schools across Ohio prepare to enforce new cellphone rules.

The Governor published a model policy on Wednesday based on the requirements of a new law that prohibits students from using their electronic devices during learning time.

The model policy outlines disciplinary actions schools can take if students violate the rules.

Schools can either adopt the model policy or create their own.

All schools in Ohio are required to enforce cellphone policies before July 2025.
