(Cleveland) The Cleveland Division of Police is searching for a vehicle believed to be involved in a fatal hit and run earlier this month. Police say the vehicle is a 1983 white, 2-door Chevy Monte Carlo with Ohio license plate 316 MC.
Police report that on April 5th, just after midnight, officers responded to a call of a man who had been shot and was lying dead in the street in the 18100 block of Euclid Avenue. It was later determined that the victim, identified as 24-year-old Calvin Aldridge, had suffered trauma to his body and a possible gunshot wound. Police learned that Aldridge had been staggering and walking in circles in the middle of the street and fell down. After attempting to get up, he just sat in the middle of the street. Thats when the vehicle in question hit Aldridge and dragged him several feet. Police say the driver of the Monte Carlo stopped, got out, walked around the car and then got back in and drove off.
The car also has blue rims and the trunk lock is broken and the trunk is held down by a bungee cord. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Cleveland Police Accident Investigation Unit at 216-623-5295 or CRIMESTOPPERS at 216-252-7463.
