The world's oldest man has died at the age of 114.
According to Guinness World Records, Juan Vicente Perez Mora died in Tachira, Venezuela.
Tachira governor Freddy Bernal first broke the news of his passing.
"Humble, hard-working, peaceful, enthusiastic about family and tradition," Bernal wrote in a social media post. "Together, with my wife and children, we had the pleasure and pride of meeting him and sharing with his loved ones," reads the post.
Confirmation is pending regarding the next oldest man alive, a 112-year-old in Japan.
