(Cleveland) - On Friday, Cleveland Police released video related to the fatal shooting of Antwoina Carter just before the vehicle she was in went toward police officers and crashed.
She was killed early the morning of St. Patrick's Day on East 105th near Garfield Avenue. She had been chased by someone. Police could be heard commenting about the gunfire, and the car headed toward them. Police fired shots, but Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner Thomas Gilson says preliminary tests show that Carter's death was not caused by police bullets.
The video is narrated by Chief of Police Dorothy Todd, who is seen at the beginning and end of the video.
Cuyahoga County Sheriff's Deputies are investigating the incident. The Cleveland Police officers involved in the shooting are on administrative leave, as is the standard case in police-involved shootings.
