(Berea) - The new toll system on the Ohio Turnpike is just about ready and is being phased in over the next few weeks.

Starting soon, at a date to be determined, the Turnpike is closing toll booths at four exits near Indiana, and five exits near Pennsylvania. You'll pay a flat rate in the areas of those exits, much like you already do on the Pennsylvania Turnpike from

Ticketed tolls will be collected only between Swanton, west of Toledo, to Newton Falls, west of Warren. Ticketed tolls will still be collected at all of the exits in the Cleveland/Akron/Lorain/Elyria area.

If you use E-ZPass, you'll no longer have to stop, or even slow down, if you are on the mainline Turnpike.

They say this is the biggest construction project on the Turnpike since it was completed in 1955.
