(Sandusky) - Cedar Point is continuing, thanks to better weather, testing of Top Thrill 2, which they say is the tallest and fastest triple-launch roller coaster in the world. Plans are for Top Thrill 2 to open when Cedar Point opens for the season, Saturday, May 4.
Engineers from the ride's manufacturer, Zamperla, are programming the strata coaster’s fully automated ride sequence, fine tuning the linear synchronous motor launch system, testing rider safety systems and running the metallic silver train through its paces.
