(Cleveland) The City of Cleveland's Department of Public Safety will host an expedited hiring event designed to streamline the application process for new recruits. The event will take place at Cleveland City Hall on December 15th, 16th, and 17th from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The city has been working to change its incentives and requirements of late as it deals with a shortage of more than 200 officers. On Monday, council members voted to approve Mayor Justin Bibb's plan to raise the oldest a new recruit can be from 40 to 55.
