Alaska Airlines has agreed to purchase Hawaiian Airlines for $1.9 billion. $900 million debt.
Both companies have agreed to the deal, which will then need approval from the shareholders of Hawaiian Holdings.
Also standing in the way of the merger is the Biden administration, which is against such mergers to help prevent flight tickets from going up in order to benefit consumers.
