Bloomberg has learned that OpenAI’s board hired former Twitch chief executive officer Emmett Shear to lead the company, defying calls from investors to reinstate Sam Altman. Tom Mackenzie reports on Bloomberg Television. So much for Altman return???
- Altman's dismissal on Friday has drawn a backlash from investors and supporters urging the board to reinstate him, prompting the two sides to discuss "potentially returning", according to a report in The Verge.
- OpenAI's board said Friday that it had "lost confidence" and Altman, and that the 38-year-old CEO "was not consistently candid in his communications with the board"
