(Cleveland) - This weekend in Cleveland, cast members of A Christmas Story will be in town for a public event celebrating the movie's 40th anniversary. Peter Billingsley, who played Ralphie in the iconic movie, partially shot in Cleveland, stopped at our studios Thursday for a interview with WTAM's Bloomdaddy.
Billingsley said some of what he remembered being in Cleveland as a 12-year-old included staying at what was then Stouffer's Hotel on Public Square, going to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, and the warm welcome that he and the other cast members and others associated with the movie received from Clevelanders.
The Greater Cleveland Film Commission is holding a weekend-long public event at Public Auditorium, featuring a fan expo, as well as panel discussions with the actors. You can buy tickets through this link.
